In some cathegories, for example old church, we can out the date of the church and put blank if you don't know, but not permit give in blank. And the format of the date nit permits years before year 1000

We know. You cannot enter dates before 1/1/1000.

Probaby because then the last redesign of the site was launched.

All you can do is what all the other Eurpeans do: Enter 1/1/1000 and specify the real date in the long description.

You can write "unknown" into a text field, because it is a text. But it is not a valid date. When a date field is required, it needs a numeric date in the specified form.

And this is not a surprizing weirdness of Waymarking.com. The same is true for all other websites on the whole planet.

That was my answer. My next post was just an additional explanation.

When a field is required, then you have to enter something. And when it is a date field, it has to be a valid date. Not the correct one, because the site thinks it is not valid, but neither unknown or a dot or so.
