on4bam
Because 100% of my discovered/moved TBs I have actually held in my hand or physically seen (standing near a car with TB code). I don't log virtual codes just like I don't log caches I haven't found and signed the log (even if the CO gives permission on a missing cache). Since I don't see myself going to Mars to take note of the TB code, I won't log it. As for an extra souvenir... I just don't care about that (I've hidden about 70 souvenirs I don't care about on my profile). 1 1 Quote Link to comment
CAPTAINVALPO96
Geocaching HQ stated in the description that they are giving explicit permission for it to be logged virtually. Edited March 13, 2021 by CAPTAINVALPO96 Typo 1 Quote Link to comment
on4bam
I know, but that doesn't mean I have to. I'm not willing to "contaminate" my statistics by logging a code instead of a trackable. That +1 is not important to me. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

G.O. Cash
Can‘t help but wonder what‘s going on... there are some pictures of what appears to be a cover plate from the bottom of the rover lying on the ground. Then there are some pictures of the opening in the bottom, with the interior of the rover exposed... doesn‘t look right to me. Or is that plate supposed to come off? Edited March 14, 2021 by G.O. I've wondered about that, too, but on NASA's https://mars.nasa.gov/mars2020/spacecraft/rover/body/ it says: Quote Structure: (...) bottom is the belly pan. Note that for new Sampling and Caching interior workspace, the belly pan in that front end of the rover (about first 1 1/2 feet from front end) is dropped soon after the rover lands. This exposes the workspace to Martian atmosphere and makes more room for sample handling operations within that workspace. So, it appears to me to be part of the plan. 1 Quote Link to comment

simon_cornelus
That's why it should be a CITO event. To clean up and place a first cache on Mars... Don't think it will be any moment soon... 1 Quote Link to comment
Joe_L
Considering that there have been 16 landings (some less successful than others), it’ll be pretty big CITO event. Might need a few boxes of contractor-size garbage bags. 3 Quote Link to comment
