Hotel advice please

I am coming over for 4 days in March 2003 for a bit of geocaching. I will be staying in SC in Charleston so can anyone recomend any good 3* or 4* hotels on the island in the centre of Charleston????

please help.

Unless you want the sameness of one of the hotel chains I would recommend the Vendue Inn. I've stayed there a few times and enjoyed it. Perhaps those who actually live in Chas. have other recommendations though. Enjoy your visit. ~erik~

I've actually stayed in B&B's while in downtown. The rates can actually be competetive. I have found the tourist info in Charleston to be quite helpful.

There's a place right in downtown Charleston, call St. James Inn. It's within walking distance from the downtown market, and all the restaurants there. Also, there is a pack of caches in downtown also. If you would to end your cache hunting day with a nice cold beverage, this inn in right in the mix. thanks all for the advice, went down the travel agents earlier and they said thatn i should try the RADISSON. anyone heard of this place??? aparntly it is a 3* place
