+Gandal491
A friend of mine was caching from 2008 to 2010. Now she would like to recover her username, but can't find it! Could it have been deleted perhaps, after a long period of inactivity? Is there a time limit on old/unused usernames? Cheers, Gandal491 Quote Link to comment
+JimJinks
Can you tell us what your friend thinks their name was, what area they found caches in or a particular GC# they remember finding? This will help us track it down. Quote Link to comment
+Gandal491
She used raiza84, and at least somewhere in Finland she found caches, as far as I know. Quote Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst
If the account ever logged to a cache page on Geocaching.com, any type of log, the account will remain. The more you narrow down the area where she might have logged a cache, the better. 1 Quote Link to comment

+ecanderson
That's a rather large area. See if your friend can remember at least a small handful of particularly memorable caches, then try to locate them on the gc.com map. If they haven't been archived, then scrolling through the logs should eventually jog the memory of the correct username. Perhaps helpful will be if your friend EVER found a cache with another cacher where the log dates will match, and the other name can be searched more readily. 1 Quote Link to comment
+Hügh
If they remember the email address they used, they can try recovering their username through the sign-in page. Perhaps their actual username was "raiza84_" and they forgot about the underscore. https://www.geocaching.com/account/signin (then click on "forgot username") Edited June 30, 2020 by Hügh 1 Quote Link to comment

Enter the email address, and then click "forgot username or password". Hopefully that email address hasn't changed. Quote Link to comment
