Adventure labs and streaks

 I’ve noticed that while adventure labs are showing up in my current streak statistics on Geocaching.com they are not showing up on the streak statistics on project GC. Is there any plan for project GC to  Capture adventure labs in the streak statistics?

They already do.

It's one of the many membership features.

Do we generally consider lab caches as a legit daily find in streaks? Certain challenge checkers doesn't seem to recognize them at all.

Challenge caches cannot rely in any way on Lab Cache finds.

It depends on the challenge itself. Some challenges are based on statistics that require also challenges to be counted. For example total number of finds is a such criteria.

Challenge Checkers can recognize them, but it requires the author to insert a line of code that specifically requests Lab Cache find information. Because this is a new feature, some are yet to update their checkers (or are choosing not to.)

Challenge Caches cannot require Lab cache finds, but challengers can choose to use them towards qualifications, if they are allowed. For example, "find 1,000 caches" or "maintain a 365-day streak."
