Keep in mind, though, that it's hard for any device - phone or GPSr - to find the satellites to lock in your position when you're in heavy woods. So it's not going to be easy regardless of the availability of a phone signal. Quote Link to comment
+TeamRabbitRun Posted June 22, 2020 Share Posted June 22, 2020 If you're going to be in the woods w/o cell service for a significant amount of time, don't forget to switch to airplane mode. Phone batteries drain fast enough in regular use. If it's CONSTANTLY polling for a cell tower that isn't there, you won't last very long at all. 1 Quote Link to comment
