does parking count as access fee?

and what if you could walk in, but most would pay to park? like, you can hike in to a state park, but everyone is going to drive there except a few locals. what if you couldn't? "You cannot require players to pay a fee for a product, service, or access. " there is no fee for the museum.

Parking fees would be considered the same expenses as e.g. public transport tickets or any transport expenses to the cache.

does the option of free parking (further away) negate that? It is legal and free to park on the street and hike in.

I'm reasonably confident that usual parking fee does not count as access fee.

It use to be optional and voluntary, as there are many possible means of transport, including free options (hike, bicycle, drop & lift by friend, etc.)

Since this topic is in the "Create Adventure Labs" section, I suppose the question is specific for adventure labs? The current guidelines at https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=143&pgid=928 just say "You cannot require players to pay a fee for a product, service, or access.". Since there seem to be free alternatives to get to the start of your adventure lab, you do not require players to pay to get there. So there seems to be no issue . . . go ahead.
