Error 500 on login to geocaching.com. Is server down?

Hi 

 

Recently upgraded to Premium, but when i login on phone app it  hangs and on website i get an 'Error 500' also.  Is the server down? Or is there another step after going Premium that i need to do?

There were some issues yesterday, for me it included the whole site.

Thanks Max and 99.  I'll follow that thread.  Bizarrely i could login to the forum site but not the main site.  I've downloaded the app again and although it appeared to hang on login, I seem to be in, so now i can at least try to get the family out to do some geocaching    Still getting error 500 on geocaching.com from multiple browsers but not really a showstopper. Thanks again

Error 500 is the universal code for server error, ie their problem*.  Have a seat, and wait for a fix.

 

No surprise the forum would work differently; it's on different software and (I think) a different server.  Gives us a place to hang out and grouse when the main box is down. 

 

(* And almost certainly, they'll have been notified automatically.)

I was surprised yesterday when I couldn't log into the Geocaching website or forum. But it didn't last long.
