+Delenitor Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 I have found numerous pathtags in caches and I always have wondered if they are swag or not. Some of the other cachers I have asked say they are and other say they aren't. Which is right? Quote

fendmar Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 I think most of the pathtag people I remember were just happy for someone to pick up and have their tags. Unless of course it was some kind of pathtag trading cache. 1 Quote
+cerberus1 Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 (edited) Most we've found or were given were signature swag, and some we've saved. Others not representing another cacher we leave in tiny caches as swag. Also, they are not geocoins. Edited March 21, 2020 by cerberus1 Quote
+Hack1of2 Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 Pathtags are personal signature items, and when you find one you get to keep it. In fact on the back of some pathtags it even states "Yours to keep." As mentioned previously, they are not geocoins and cannot be tracked on geocaching.com. 1 Quote
+Max and 99 Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 We did have a local cache that was only for tag swapping. I got the impression there was more taking than leaving, and it was archived. I love leaving tags in geocaches while on vacation, and I'm thrilled when someone takes the time to log it. I don't expect anyone to trade for it. Quote
