+ScroogieII
ODE TO THE ROBINS OF SPRING Spring has sprung, the grass has riz I know now where the birdies is. As I peek out the window near I see those things we all hold dear. No, not the snow which recent fell Or resting deer which nearby dwell. But harbingers of seasons new Which recently to town just flew. They're things in which we all delight We northerners in arctic night. The ones which lift our spirits high Their coming telling spring is nigh. We all rejoice upon their sight They make our futures now seem bright. They're robins, held in high esteem For now of summer all can dream. 1 Quote Link to comment

+ScroogieII
Here, it's Snipe hunting. The rest of the herd has arrived - right now there are no less than 15 robins foraging outside my window. 1 Quote Link to comment
+ScroogieII
I'm replying to this just to bring it up to the top - Robins - Signs of Spring. I know it's a little early but I'm already tired of winter. Merry Christmas All, in any event. 2 Quote Link to comment
+ScroogieII
And now it's April 04, 2022 (Until a couple of days ago I had convinced myself that this was still 2021.) and not a robin in sight!!! Could that heat dome of last year (2021, right? - just checking) have scared them away or, worse yet, killed them all? Could the lack of quality in that so universally panned poem have caused them to give a pass on heading north this year? Will we ever know? Yeah, THIS POEM, you literary numbskulls: ODE TO THE ROBINS OF SPRING Spring has sprung, the grass has riz I know now where the birdies is. Face it, you literary critics of yore - They Cain't All Be Gems! Actually, if you happen to have noted that baseball season hasn't yet really begun, then you, too may be aware that there's something amiss in our stars. EERIE! How ever can I Waymark under such Other Worldly Conditions? More importantly, How ever can YOU Waymark under such Other Worldly Conditions?
