my first puzzle cache and i cloned a checker but did not link it to my new cache. I have deleted the checker now but when i try to reclone the checker i get an error message that i am already linked to the cloned checker so it does not let me add it to my cache.

I don't know the answer to your question, it's really question for the project-gc forums.

 

It's the wrong checker though, because it doesn't work for my account, and it should/must.

I'd ask in their forums for a checker that works as "join date"  for accounts 10 years old or younger, and join MONTH for accounts older than 10 years. Because that's what your challenge says.

Interesting challenge  - and I actually qualify!  I live in CA, the cache I found was in Florida while visiting our son.  This challenge is in Oklahoma, so I don't know when or if I will ever get to sign the log, but I can claim it if I'm ever in the neighborhood!

Interesting that the checker on the OP cache page says I don't qualify - yet according to my stats page on Project-GC I have found 18 caches placed during April 2006. I joined 4/17/2006, so should qualify under the over ten years ago portion of the Exception as stated on the cache listing.   "If you started caching 10 years prior to the date you signed the logsheet for this challenge, then you only need to have logged a find for a cache that was hidden in the MONTH you started caching"

 

The checker must have some issue with checking in this circumstance.

I'm glad you posted here. I didn't know anything about that cache! It seems lately I've been saying that often. I go to my local post office at least twice a week and never knew a cache was placed there several months ago! I hope to make it out to find your challenge cache.

I can't access the logs (even when I click on View Logbook it says there are no logs). But I'm sorry this cache was confiscated since it was on my to-do list!  I really hope it comes back!!
