How Long for New User eMail to be sent?

My granddaughter signed up to create her own account.

 

How long does it generally take to receive an acknowledgment email?  I want to make sure her request is just being processed and not lost in cyber space?

I would assume it would be very quickly. They're probably automatic, not generated by a human.

 

If it hasn't arrived, you may want to check the spam filter.

Did she use a different e-mail address than yours?

I could be wrong, but i do think that msrubble is on to something.

 

In the past, you could register multiple accounts to the same email address. I don't think you can anymore. So if you used the same email for her account as for your account, that may be your problem.

Yes, she used a different (her own) email addy.

 

Yes, the new user validation letter arrived about 3 hours later.   She is "good-to-go."
