itsonlybarney
I have a possible geoart I would like to put together, however I am curious whether it is possible to get sequential GC Codes for each of the caches? Quote Link to comment
arisoft
Without a special agreement this is practically impossible. You should try to get all codes at the same time. Quote Link to comment
Isonzo Karst
GC Codes are machine assigned as listings are created. You can get good at quickly creating minimal cache pages one after another after another, your GC Codes will be more or less sequential. If some other user creates pages as you are, codes will be assigned to them, breaking your sequence. You'll be the only person on the planet who notices this ;-) You can create a bunch of Trads fastest. title "." text"." no hint, skip waypoints page, default dt, no attributes, save. WARNING - with Geoart, the listings are usually staged, usually Mystery. You can change Trad to Mystery Multi or to LBH before publication. Adding the final, other waypoints (parking reference) However, if you decide on Multi, load finals, then decide no, Mystery, on change of staged type, any physical waypoints (final!) are lost. Figure out your Final locations FIRST. Decide on cache type, stick to it. If Mystery, listing coords and final must be less than 2 miles apart. +Touchstone
You might get a small number that are sequential, but for a geoart project, I'd say that's nearly impossible without some help from HQ, and I just don't see them going out of their way to support something like this. +itsonlybarney
Hey Guys, I suspected this would be the case, just thought I would ask whether anyone knew any tricks to get it to work. Quote Link to comment
arisoft
Some time ago I tried to get 5 codes but only 3 of them succeeded and 2 listings got an error. I had to recreate them from a scratch again. There seems to be some bugs. The best you can get is similar looking codes with some gaps. Edited December 23, 2019 by arisoft Quote Link to comment
lee737
The only thing I would suggest is to make your pages in low activity times, maybe in the wee hours of the morning, when less people might be doing the same, of course you might still have some pesky Australians making caches!
