Last Cache Clearance from Screen

Hi

I use an Android and I can just use the back arrow to exit right out of a cache, to the map, with no details of the last app showing.  Basically, I return to just the map.  My Wife uses an iPhone but can't do the same. She always has the minimised cache details, of the last cache, at the foot of the her screen, covering quite a lot of the map.  Is there any way she can return to the map alone?

If you tap in an empty part of the map (where there isn't a cache), that should de-select the last cache and show just the map. I just tried this on my iPhone.
