Things have changed a little bit since 2000. Here's the first Geocaching web page available on the Wayback Machine from November 8, 2008.

Here's a page from November 29, 2001. Remember, Geocaching started as a game versus a business. Notice the Paypal Donate button at the bottom of the page.

Curious where you're going with this.  Thanks.      The link doesn't want to work for me.  Maybe that windows 7/IE  thing...

Didn't see a link to the other page in the second post  either, for some odd reason.

 

Of two we know, cachers from '00 and '01, IIRC both called this a hobby.  We do too.    

We haven't been in your area in some time.  No rope, so couldn't hit too many when there. 

The other 2/3rds almost stepped on her first black-phase rattler headin' to a cave rat cache.

You're seeing the wikipedia link, that wasn't part of the Geocaching.com page.  Paypal wasn't even called paypal until sometime in 2001.

I see an REI advertisement myself ;-)

 

Fun to look back though,  Stash Hunt ;-) and in the last week EIGHT whole new caches!
