+rusty_da_dog
At one time I had heard several people talking about a get together in Central Arkansas. I was just wondering if anyone had thought anymore about it? Rusty RW Da Man!!! CHS#1 Quote Link to comment
+Gaddiel
We've thought about it, but don't really have the time to get one together. I'd love to have one, though! It would be great to meet some of the people behind the logs, so to speak. LOL! Quote Link to comment
+southdeltan
If you get something planned for Central Arkansas in the future make sure you post it here. I live in MS but I'd love to come for a visit. There are almost no caches in SE Arkansas - I hope the activity over here will pick up soon. I have one planned for the area if I can ever get time to get permission. southdeltan ------------------------------------------------ Quote Link to comment
+southdeltan
Have you Arkansans ever thought about a webpage/discussion forum for your state? I see a lot of other states have something like that. We currently have a webpage and a fairly active message board (based on the number of geocachers we have) over here in MS. There are lots of places with "free" message boards. southdeltan ------------------------------------------------ Quote Link to comment

+southdeltan
A website with a message board is an excellent start to any group or organization. You don't even have to have a group - it's just good for geocaching in an area. If somebody made a page then asked TPTB to add it to the Arkansas page - you'd start getting traffic. southdeltan ------------------------------------------------ Quote Link to comment
+9Key
Post the link to your Yahoo Group! Also, go ahead and post the event and see what happens. I would almost guarantee that you'll get several Oklahomans and Texans to attend. Events seem to be a great catalyst to getting caching started. Everyone loves a BBQ and geocaching! Does anyone want to talk about geocaching? www.texasgeocaching.com Quote Link to comment
+RuffRidr
OK, here is the link to the ArkGeo Yahoo group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ArkGeo/ And it looks like there already is an ArkGeo page, although there is not much on it right now: http://drakedev.com/arkgeo/ --RuffRidr Quote Link to comment
+Gaddiel
Update on an Arkansas event: nonnipoppy (who I don't believe normally post here) are trying to get an event together I believe in Clarksville. Hopefully, there will be more details soon! Quote Link to comment
pdumas
How about Burns Park in North Little Rock, AR. Quote Link to comment
Charton1
I see that there haven't been any recent posts about a Central Arkansas Geocaching event, but if there have been any new news on such an event I would love to know. Quote Link to comment
Bio-X
I'm in NW Arkansas but I would probably travel to Central Arkansas for a caching event. Quote Link to comment
+arkansas stickerdude
Why don't we have an event here in NW Arkansas? Who would be interested? Where would we want it too be? Email me at mobilecache@arkansascars.net for sugestions. Edited April 16, 2004 by arkansas stickerdude Quote Link to comment
Charton1
I would definitely be interested in getting together in NW Arkansas (though I won't be able to make until mid-August as I will be in NC). As to where we might meet, I don't really care, but Eureka Springs might me nice because of the area and there are a few caches there. Anyway, wherever and whenever it may be, I'd like to come and hope that this does get pulled together. Quote Link to comment
Bio-X
Here you go. This Sunday....Not quite NW Arkansas but pretty dadgum close. I'll be there to meet some of the local cachers. MISSOURI INTERNATIONAL CITO 2004 Quote Link to comment

There was an event in Clarksville back in January. It was put on by Golfnutz and Nonnipoppi. We went down to it and had a lot of fun. I think that they were going to be making it an annual event.
