500 internal server error on login

Recommended Posts

When I try to log on to geocaching.com, I get a 500 error.

I had logged off and tried to log in again because I could not pull up cache pages. Waiting and waiting for the server to respond. Clearing cache did not help.

I refreshed a cache page and found that I had been logged out, which normally doesn't happen. When I logged in again (even though I have checked the box to remember me), I got the same 500 error. This is not good.

Just posting a "me too".   Found I was logged off (?) and now can't log on.

I assume that eventually someone from HQ will notice and get on it.

Same here in NJ.. funny it allows login here to the forum but not on GC... must be different authentication servers.

Firefox, windows

When saving cache page edits, the save never ends. The changes are saved, but the page doesn't stop loading.

May be the same issue, "Save And Preview" doesn't proceed to the preview (IE).

Do you mean the main geocaching site? I opened it, opened a cache and made a minor correction to a log of mine, went save, and it was saved. All appeared to work.

I'm able to save a cache page edit.  But pages are not automatically reloading. If I save a personal note and save it, it just sits at "Please wait, saving your note..." until I manually reload the page.

Tried that. See what you mean.

Same problem here, but it does not save attributes, nor does it submit them for preview. (See other thread)

Busy days are frequently a  problem for the hamsters.  It is Day 1 of the souvenir for EarthCache Day.    My nephew had problems signing in from Firefox, and uploading his picture.

Is it really this predictable?!?

I guess it explains why dynamic-loading stuff (FP%) wasn't working today.

As a software developer (now retired), it's been fascinating to watch Groundspeak's software development process from the outside looking in.

Here's a random one - I was editing some TB names (as you do!) before - they would change, but the screen would never refresh/return from GC after hitting save changes, navigating back to the page showed the edit had gone through though.
