+JoeyBob
Okay, The Ale House it is, how about Wednesday the 14th? Someone said Thursdays were busy, how does this date work? This will be a regular gathering, the September meeting will use the suggested format of hiding a cache that contains the coordinates for the actual gathering. I would appreciate any ideas for the location for the September meeting. Thanks again to Number6 for help last time with the location. Let's see if we can break 20 cachers in attendance this time! +JoeyBob
I was thinking around 7 or 7:30 to let people get home from work, but not too late if you have kids at home- what does everyone think? Quote Link to comment
+Number 6
Carolina Ale House 512 Creekside Drive Raleigh, NC http://triangle.citysearch.com/profile/11551041 Should be able to be there. Be Seeing You! Quote Link to comment
+helixblue
I've slowly awakened from a long geocaching vacation (okay, 2 months).. and definitely plan to show up. It'll be nice seeing you again JoeyBob! BTW, should anyone be itching to do some geocaching next weekend, I'm looking to do the following South of Raleigh caches on Aug 3-4 (ordered by priority): http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=24924 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=24627 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=23434 I may only get the "Into the Woods" cache done, because it takes a while, the other two are just gravy on top of it. Hitting my 45th cache would be nice though! Quote Link to comment
JeffersonStone
I thought we were talking about the Carolina Ale house here in Cary off Walnut Street and Dillard Drive. The coords: N35* 45.304' W078* 44.539'. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If I had a nickel for every sewerline near rivers and lakes, I'd be RICH!! +Number 6
Cary sounds better to me. The other one was the only one I found when I checked Citysearch. How about we lock in 7ish on August 14 at Carolina Ale House (Cary) off Walnut Street and Dillard Drive N35* 45.304' W078* 44.539'? Be Seeing You! Quote Link to comment
GeoJoeyBob
Ok are we going to Creekside Dr. location or not. I live near there but I would hope we could nail down the location for sure. I didn't know there was a Ale House in Cary. Quote Link to comment
+JoeyBob
Just went there last night- first time! I see why everyone likes it so much. My 5 year old sports fanatic loved it. Thanks for the coords, will post it now. JoeyBob Quote Link to comment
+helixblue
It's a pretty cool place. Only confusing thing is that there are two Alehouse's in Cary.. MacGregor AleHouse (which has been around forever, in the MacGregor shopping area on 64), and the new Cary AleHouse (Crossroads) that opened up in March. I myself prefer the MacGregor Alehouse, but probably because it's a much smaller place. As far as the Cary Alehouse: * Great fries * Weak Long Island Ice Teas. * Good bartenders * Can be very very packed if you share the same night as a sporting event, or on a weekend. I've had a 2 hour wait there before. * Can get to be overly loud.. Expect to use the phone booth if you need to talk on a cellphone. All in all, Cary Alehouse is a decent, if not crowded place to meetup. It's easily accessed by everyone, as it's just off the beltline. Can't wait to see the other area geocachers that I've not yet had the chance to meet. Quote Link to comment
