I might have one back....

Earlier this year I sat down and went through all our TBs. Any that had been held for >6 months I sent a polite message to the holder asking if they could move it on. 9 months later one replied, and has claimed to have dropped it off. I had to help them do the drop, as I had marked it missing. Hopefully it is now actually sitting in a cache and will resume its journey after a 2 year break.....

Had that happen.  No one ever saw it again.

Checking a remote ammo can of mine, I found a TB in it, not logged into it. Wrote down the tracking number, and once home, grabbed it from some long archived cache, and dropped it into my cache.

TB owner emailed and thanked me for the TB resurrection.

Not long after that cache was visited by a Boy Scout troop...... TB is once again missing.

lee737, may you have better luck with your resurrected traveler ;-)

I recognize that problem, but it always puzzles me why it happens. You'd think a boy scout troop would be more likely be supervised enough to avoid this problem, but they never seem to be. Has anyone ever tried to contact a troop leader to explain the problem and see if they could work out what happened to the TB? I admit, I haven't, but it seems as if the leadership would be inclined to improve the quality of the learning experience if they were alerted to the problem.
