When I tried to look it up online on the website it came up with no result. The code is written on a metal tag that reads "Official Geocaching.com Travel Bug" with the official Logo on the flip side. Make sure you try some letters and numbers that may be mixed... like 0 (zero) instead of O, 8 (eight) instead of B, etc. Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1 Posted September 25, 2019 Share Posted September 25, 2019 (edited) Have you simply exchanged 0 (zero) and O (oh) and similar ? A lot of times one letter/number looks like another. Looked to see how you've done in past trackables, and it seems you should know what to look for (though I probably wouldn't hold onto another's property in some cases well over a year.) If the "metal tag" is not an official Travel Bug tag, then that (I feel) may be the culprit. Has anyone else mentioned a trackable they can't log on the cache logs ? When issues, some just dump n run. Also possible that someone placed it in the cache unactivated as swag. I do that sometimes with geocoins.
