+mistywhittington
Hi, I am new to Geocaching and our Scout Troop is looking to camp somewhere in Texas (up to 3 hours outside Dallas) that is also a good spot for Geocaching. Within the troop there are varying ages as well as varying geocaching experience. Ideally there would be several within walking/hiking distance of the area where we would pitch camp. If you know of a good area please let me know or if there is a good resource you could point me to. Thanks in advance! Quote Link to comment
+K13
Many State Parks have geocache placed in amd around them. Look on the Geocaching Browse Map at Martin Creek Lake SP near Tatum, and Daingerfield SP. Using the Browse Map through a web browser is my favored method to see what's in an area. +SkellyCA
I agree, browse the map. I did that when I went to Disney World and when I go camping or fishing or any other trip for that matter. Then I make a PQ of the area Quote Link to comment
+Badams1
Boy scouts offers a geocaching merit badge, so I would recommend contacting the local merit badge counselor for some guidance. Edited September 9, 2019 by Badams1 Quote Link to comment

Good idea. One may have already made a suggestion (although it has been a bit since last teaching it.) Quote Link to comment
