+yxza
Hello, you can enter private notes in the Personal Cache Note field and no one else can see them. It would be nice if one could private pictures as well. A picture of the hiding spot e.g. As a cache owner it is easy to forget where one hid the cache. Especially if you have hidden a few. +arisoft
It is possible. Upload the image normally while you are planning the cache description. Then save the image URL to your private cache notes Finally you must delete the image to make it private. For example this image URL is from your cache https://img.geocaching.com/cache/d16c6b1f-e9ab-4e3e-b2a6-bfc6a1b44f20.jpg If you delete the ilmage from your gallery, you can still use the link to see the image privately https://www.geocaching.com/seek/gallery.aspx?guid=d80099bc-787e-4c6a-84ee-6f1c820d4d30 If you post the image with a reviewer note it will be automatically removed from the gallery. 1 Quote Link to comment
+Aceey
If you use a computer to connect to Geocaching.com or use a lap top maybe to create the new geocache page for a new cache, then you must have the ability to create a folder on your computer where you can post the pictures and notes of your new hide. Then no one will be able to see where your container is hidden, or what it might take to get into that creative gadget cache. Aceey 1 Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
Darn good point. Who says private pictures have to be on the internet? Combine the two great answers above. Use the personal cache note to store "C:\yxza\Pictures\whizbanghide.jpg" or whatever the name is. Quote Link to comment
