My beloved Magellan Explorist 110 has been reduced to a very fancy brick following an unfortunate incident with a careless roommate and an unyielding concrete sidewalk. It still powers on and attempts to do what it is supposed to, but I am unable to navigate properly from screen to screen, as the center "joystick" seems to be jammed. For example, if I attempt to scroll down, it instead goes back. I believe that replacing the joystick may solve the problem, but I have no idea how or where to find parts. Does anyone have experience with this or know if it is possible? I suppose I may be able to salvage parts from another damaged unit if I can find one, but I'd want to be sure it wasn't experiencing the same problem. Quote Link to comment

+SkellyCA Posted August 14, 2019 Share Posted August 14, 2019 Magellan doesn't even make handhelds any more. So the software isn't being supported either. I had a Triton 400 but recently found a good deal for an eTrex 30x at Costco for $130. So maybe it's time to upgrade? Quote Link to comment
