+_puna_
A geocacher in my area has thousands of junk geocaches in the area that I have no interest in finding. Is there a way to have them not show up on my map? (besides going in and ignoring all of them) thanks! Quote Link to comment
+Touchstone
I think Ignoring them is the only way. 1 Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
Not really a solution when you have to ignore caches. One. By. One. I have the same problem. I need to investigate gpsbabel as a way to create filtered XML files. Then (hopefully) I'll be able to turn the "spewcacher" folder in my caching app (Locus) on or off depending on my mood. +Goldenwattle
I too would like to be able to eliminate caches by certain individuals. Hundreds of power trail caches that clog my load and reduce my load area radius by a 100kms or more. 1 Quote Link to comment
+niraD
At this point, Groundspeak does not offer a solution. There are third-party solutions (e.g., GSAK) that allow you to add caches that meet certain criteria to your ignore list. Quote Link to comment
+L0ne.R
Cachly has the option of filtering out up to 5 cache owners. I was told five was the limit set by GCHQ. 1 Quote Link to comment

+cerberus1
Every time a commercial's on, ignore two caches. The site has said (with the numerous other threads on this subject ;-) that they want to steer away from negativity. You can ignore a cache, but not a person. I believe the only reason it's allowed here is because the forums are separate from the site. Years ago I ignored caches, but today I'd spend most my time ignoring caches. Today, I ignore those that are on the same search grouping of caches I'll do, but have issues (inaccurate D/T, and container condition mostly). All those nondescript pill bottles someone placed just because they could, I just happily walk by. 1 Quote Link to comment

Ignoring caches, one by one, from a specific owner doesn't stop the notifications the next time that caches puts out another 100+ cache series. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
