+Max and 99 Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I want to know more. This looks like fun! Hard, though, with that many geocaches, but fun nonetheless. I wish I could see more right now, to possibly plan a trip, but it looks like I'll have to wait till more information is released. The Smokey Bear 75th Anniversary GeoTour (GT92) Quote

+Max and 99 Posted July 8, 2019 Author Posted July 8, 2019 (edited) I'm glad I didn't fly out there for the geotour. Someone already got in trouble and the cache is disabled. Glad it wasn't me! LOL. So much more info is available now. Looks like fun! I can't wait to visit some of these Smokey caches. Edited July 8, 2019 by Max and 99 1 Quote
+Harry Dolphin Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 The four in northwest New Jersey seem not to have been hidden yet. Several DNFs, including the one I could not find today. Maybe it should get a Needs Maintenance? 2 Quote
+Max and 99 Posted July 8, 2019 Author Posted July 8, 2019 (edited) Odd that FTF tokens are being taken and logs signed before the caches were published. I had zero chance at any of those, but if I did, I'd be frustrated. I'm enjoying seeing the photos posted to visit logs. Edited July 8, 2019 by Max and 99 Quote

That's why we don't think about them, having attempted one once and unable to complete because of one missing cache. We only had to drive, but it took almost a day just to get there, then multiple days. A fun time, but we could have done what amounted to just a cache run, a heck-of-a-lot closer. Quote
+WALLY R Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 I am in Southeastern Ohio, it is the same here. Logs are being signed and tokens gone before caches are published. Quote

+Harry Dolphin Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 I found 'six in one state' (NJ) for the "Smokey 75th Trackable Coin". Nice geocoin, but just a standard trackable icon. Oh, well. Was hoping for a nice Smokey icon. Quote
