Can't upload JPG images to logs

Hi,

It seems like it's not possible to upload JPG images to logs. I took a look at the network tab in my browser's dev tools and found that the server responds with "400 Bad Request". 

Uploading PNG files works.

Are you uploading enormous JPG files straight off the camera?

 

Try resizing first to 640 pixels wide (and typically 480 high for landscape); that's the most the built-in viewer displays anyway.

I almost suggested that, except that the OP specified that a PNG uploaded fine, which would be an even bigger file size than a comparable JPG.  I mean, if one can send a teeny PNG but not a ginormous JPG, the question answers itself.

I do snap answers, not deep insight, when I'm camping.?

 

Is the OP uploading through the website logging form (old/new), or some other means? I suspect it would've been via an uncommon path, otherwise there'd be an uproar by now.

It's the new logging form on the website. It fails using a small JPG image (16KB 640x360px). Converting the image to PNG using MS Paint or Photoshop, and it uploads correctly. I have tried it in the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Same problem in all browsers.

Btw, I'm Rottum's son and have helped him identify the issue.
