+vigorelli
Hi, I've put down my first cache a couple of days ago and am currently waiting for it to be reviewed. In the meantime, I've changed my username from A to B, which worked fine. All my finds are showing the new username, etc. The only thing is, that the owner of my cache is still my old username. The link points to the new one, though. My question now is: Does this change, once it is published, or do ownernames remain untouched? Quote Link to comment
Keystone
You would need to edit your cache page manually. The "placed by" field defaults to your current username, but it's a free form text field that can be edited (for example, if someone co-hid the cache with you). 2 Quote Link to comment

Many of my cache hides are placed by a fictional name that relates to the cache. You can put almost anything you want in that field. Quote Link to comment

+Mineral2
Believe it or not, when you create a cache, you can put in whatever owner name you want. It's just the name displayed on the site. Clicking on that name will still always link back to your profile, and your current username is what gets written to GPX files for use with a GPS. Sometimes I'll make events with the name "Quad Cities Geocachers" because the event is for the community rather than my own personal reasons. Quote Link to comment
