Other players maps

Is it possilbe to look at another players map of the caches they have found and not found?  A map like the one that comes up when you choose maps on the play menu?

Try Map Compare on Project GC, by instance.

Thanks for the suggestion but I couldn't get Map Compare on that site to do much.

You can easily search for caches that another cacher has NOT found using the Advanced Search function, by selecting their username in the "Not Found By" section.  You can then Map the resulting caches. This function allows cachers to plan outings and search for caches that neither/none have already found.

 

 

The Project-GC Map Compare feature should also work and allow you to search for caches that neither/one/both have found.  Can you elaborate on what you mean when you say it doesn't "do much"?  Perhaps you are just using the wrong selection boxes.

The problem with those filter is that it still shows on the map the caches hidden by your friend you still haven't found.

Trying to use Map Compare on Project-GC.  I can put the info in but there is no icon to do the search!   Is it for paying members only?

It's (probably) the Filter button that you need to press.

 

I think it can sometimes end up hidden underneath an advert, so you may need to play with browser window width.

You may want to use the filter drop down to pick out the disabled/archived filter - it'll show all the caches that are no longer active as well.

Did that happen when the "Owned as found" selection is checked?
