SmuversNinjas
My soon to be 10 year old cacher wants to host a caching event for his birthday. He isn't asking for gifts or anything, he wants a BBQ for the cache community. Can this be done? I've looked and not found info on it. Quote Link to comment
arisoft
I have visited many events with a BBQ. Very good choise. What makes you doubt about that? Quote Link to comment
SmuversNinjas
Just now, arisoft said: I have visited many events with a BBQ. Very good choise. What makes you doubt about that? Well, it would be a birthday party. I asked a seasoned cacher about it and he said to read geocaching 101, which I did... and found nothing about a birthday cache event. Quote Link to comment
cerberus1
It'd be just like any other simple "meet and greet" event, only a bit more fun if you have cake. We've been to a couple birthday events, usually when they're closer to the retirement side. Don't know what your "seasoned cacher" meant by reading the basics, but we've been to enough that I don't see the issue. 1 Quote Link to comment
niraD
I've been to birthday geocaching events before. They can be a lot of fun. Make sure it's clear what is provided, and what is potluck. 1 Quote Link to comment
