+pwezzr2
I just recently updated to a new Samsung Galaxy S9 phone from a previous S3 and my Geocaching app is not searching for new caches. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and it still says no caches in the area. I typed in a city that I know has caches and the same thing happened. I have shut it off and rebooted the phone but it still doesn't work. The wife has an S5 that never had the app installed before so I uploaded the same app in and it works fine. Anybody got an idea why? Quote Link to comment
+noncentric
Maybe it's related to the Android version. What version does the S9 run? My S7 runs Android 8.0.0 - which I find by going to the menu in the app, then scrolling down to Version Info. Quote Link to comment

+pwezzr2
Update: The phone said that it had a software update so I let it do it and it went through a bunch of stuff and then it said it was optimizing 86 apps and when it got done the geocaching app worked like it was supposed to. I guess the phone knew what it needed. Quote Link to comment
