Equestrian Statues is under new management.

We were recently promoted to leaders of the Equestrian Statues category.

We have update some of the requirements:

1. A minimum of two pictures are required: A close up of the rider and an overview of the entire statue.

1a. If there is a sign or plaque a picture is required. A transcription is encouraged.

2. We have removed the "Country" requirement in the title.

3. In the long description include: at least three (3) sentences describing the location, history or any unique or interesting features of the statue. The 3 sentence requirement is a personal narrative and is in addition to any copied text.

The already approved waymarks that do not meet these new requirements or previous requirements will be "Grandfathered"

We must stress that the following requirement must be adhered to without exception:

"An Equestrian Statue waymark must be a permanent, free-standing statue of a named historical, mythological or well-known fictional character depicted astride a horse."

No generic, unnamed, riders such as Soldiers, Indians, Warriors or the like.

Please read all the requirements before posting a new waymark.

We look forward to your new submissions.  Equestrian Statues
