You can pull this up by using the search function and filtering by cache type; you can also see whether they are active or disabled. Filtering out disabled caches, as of this post there are: 2,423,627 active traditionals 428,228 active mystery caches 158,935 active multicaches 30,909 active earthcaches 27,659 active letterbox hybrid caches 14,612 active Wherigo caches 7,126 active virtual caches 4,761 active or upcoming event caches 253 active webcam caches This is a constantly moving target, though, as caches get published or disabled/archived. At this second there are 3,097,487 total active geocaches - but I bet if I add up my column up above, I bet it has already changed. They are legion in Germany: 79 in a country the size of Montana. I didn't get a smart phone until I moved back to the states, so I only got two local ones the last time we were here; but I've logged nine since moving back last summer. That's why my first search is for webcams and virtuals, as they're the two least common and the ones I have the least finds on. I was in San Francisco last summer and found the one at the pier but had to leave the other at the fort alone. I couldn't convince the family to head in that direction! LOL Quote Link to comment
