Smith_0
Since the last update on the website to log and handle geochaches it is not any longer possible to download a GPX-file to garmin device via usb. Before that it was easy and reliable. The new link is shown beneath a symbol with "Download GPX". The download runs and the file is on garmin in the folder "gpx", but is not found as geochache on the garmin device. As told, before that it functioned without any problems. Is it necessary to use another, special folder on the garmin etrex 20x device? In the tool BaseCamp of garmin these caches are registered and shown. Many thanks for help, that is an essencial feature! Smith Quote Link to comment

Smith_0
Thanks, I'll try this. And also a suggestion from geocaching.com: download the gpx-file to computer-device and afterwards move it to the garmin-device. As soon as possible, and give feedback. Quote Link to comment

Nevertheless since update as written the caches I save there are not shown in the garmin-device. The older also there saved caches are shown furthermore! Addition: I didnt believe it but the suggestion worked (just had time to try one time): "download the gpx-file to computer-device and afterwards move it to the garmin-device." BUT: With a special handling: 1. Download on the pc/laptop 2.Close that window 3.Connect garmin and open gpx-folder 4. Open pc-window with gpx-file 5. Move gpx-file with drag and drop to garmin-folder. With all other normally used procedures i failed. Edited December 16, 2018 by Smith_0 Quote Link to comment
