How do I link a trackable to a cache?

Can someone tell me how to let people know that I've placed a trackable in a cache I've hidden? I've activated it and want to know how to let people know that it is available to start it's travels.

Add a new log to the cache and with that log, scroll down to select the trackable out of your inventory, "drop". To log an unpublished cache, in the Admin Tools box, click Post Reviewer Note.  A reviewer note  will disappear when the cache is published, but the trackable will still be in the cache's inventory. Pre-publication,  once you're on the logging page, the Write Note option is available in the drop down box.  If you want to add info that stays on the cache page at publication, use Write Note, that log will remain (often used to mention FTF prize.) 

 

The activated trackable must be in your inventory, available to "drop" with a log.  I'm assuming you've logged trackables and know how to  "drop" with the log. The Help Center has trackable logging info. The "how to log" info on the site's trackable page is wrong. 

(unsolicited advice:  the opportunity to move a trackable is not a FTF prize... statements like "TB for FTF" are just an invitation for a novice to think the TB is gift to keep)
