Presently, waymarks are split between United Kingdom (no province/state selected) or Ireland (Ulster). I don't think either option is accurate which might explain why waymarkers have selected the different options. Quote Link to comment

Using UK with no province/state selected is the worst option, because you can't search for waymarks in the UK, which have no province/state selected.
