An interesting year indeed!  All three of my missions have been sent.  Same day, same Post Office.  Two arrived early (US based), one I haven't heard from (International).  I messaged my third mission to let him know it's on the way.  This is the earliest I've sent them, and the latest they've arrived.

 

I've received two mission in return.  One from the US and one from Sweden.  That one arrived on the 22nd, so just in time.  Yeah customs!  Thank you to everyone that participated!  Merry Christmas to all and a Very Happy New Year!!!

Wow, super thanks to jimrky! My package was waiting under the cat-mas tree (for those of us who live with a cat and decided not to get a pine tree, the scratching tree works great and brings smiles!). Mom and dad were in town for the holidays and mom is a geocacher. We had a great time opening up the goodies. The coin is great and the the letter is fantastic! I'll have to carefully plant my Ammo Can Cache seed as well! ? I would love to upload a picture but they keep failing to load so bear with me while I give you the verbal contents: amazing letter from jimrky (you should come visit!), a geocaching Christmas card, a nice stash of replacement logs (or original logs if I get my rear moving and place some caches out here!), an ammo can cache seed (the tiny vial that can hide beneath an unassuming objects), and a steampunk coin! (you too can discover the fun - SPAZ6D)

Sorry for not responding sooner! I spend little time on the forums and even less time responding so I was a bit unclear on how I was supposed to respond -- I've been editing my original post. I received my coin sometime before Christmas (thank you, thank you!), a wonderful coin from the Netherlands that the sender designed themselves. I mailed out the card before Christmas but ran into trouble with the customs so I kept the coin. You lovely folks helped me word the customs form so the coin would get through customs ok and I mailed it off 12/26. Now I see my recipient is 10 -- I'm especially sorry now for my tardiness, kiddo! Hopefully the coin will make up for it. It's pretty awesome, I think.

Not to worry! Especially at this season of the year the your work on these Missions is exemplary (!) Something will come when it comes, and if not, then not - Beth seems to remember something about '...giving, not getting...' from her parents. Me too. ?

 

To be totally honest, it's much, MUCH more of a joy to hear that the small things we sent have had good reception and brought some fun to others. We're among the 'old folks' of our neighborhood - but we're the ones who deliver home-made cookies and candy to the houses with kids, and our friends. Never, ever thought I'd be doing 10's of dozens of cookies to give away. This is even better than that LOL! (or is that Ho-Ho-Ho ! ??)

 

- - and here I am editing because I'm on medication for discs degenerating above and below an L4/L5 - I can understand your physical situation. Your devotion to this tasks speaks volumes about you as a person. Thank you, once again!

We have something in common, my hernia is located between L4 and L5 It is less painful that it was at the beginning of the month when I couldn't even get out of bed ☹️

I received an absolutely wonderful mission packed with swag from scrabblehounds before Christmas.  I waited to open it and now have some pictures to post.  Because I live in Michigan they hand made me a hat and matching scarf!  I had a wide smile when I saw them because my puppy has destroyed two of my winter hats.  This one is special so I will be sure to put it where he can't reach it.  The coin and tags are awesome and the swag is over the top!  Thanks so much scrabblehounds!  You out did yourself!!

I just got a letter from my college yesterday.  Two weeks ago they sent a follow up email referencing the sent letter.  So, I'm still hopeful in the slow mail to my neck of the woods.  Happy New Year!

I learned that my gift had indeed arrived before Christmas.  Whew!  I thought the US Postal Service would let me down this year.  Not so!

Oh Claire my heart breaks, I received what should have been my mission but it is clear that the tape on the package did not hold up. The seal on the underside of the package wasn't used and is still there, had that been used it would have secured the envelope for sure. I feel so bad cause I'm sure my mission sender had chosen a special coin and Christmas card for me
