Wintertime
Jonny Harris's warmhearted show "Still Standing" will feature geocaching in the town of Wilberforce, ON tonight, Oct. 30th. I'm posting this information in the Geocaching Topics forum instead of the Canada forum because many parts of the northern U.S. (including Seattle?) have CBC TV on cable systems. Here's a page on the CBC TV website about tonight's episode: Still Standing--Wilberforce It says: "Geocaching is a big deal in this area. The town's official GeoTour is the No. 1 geocaching tour in Canada and No. 3 in the world, taking you on an exploration of pristine lakes, scenic locations and historical sites." Those of you in Canada will probably be able to watch the episode on CBC's website later if you miss it tonight. Quote Link to comment
+thebruce0
Yeah I got a ping about that from a friend too. No cable, so gotta watch when they put it online. Very cool. Wilberforce really is making a name for itself Quote Link to comment

I wonder what metrics they're using to determine that. Number of finds? Number of FPs? I've never seen anywhere that ranks GeoTours. Quote Link to comment
+GeoTrekker26
Since GeoTours are a revenue source they may provide the customer special metrics. Quote Link to comment

Wintertime
Yes, Jonny Harris has a bit of fun with the town's claims. Quote Link to comment
+Calypso62
The link says the content is not available outside Canada. Does anyone have a link so us Aussies "DownUnder" can see the story? Quote Link to comment
Ewe&Me
It was quite interesting! Now I’ll have to put the hamlet of Wilberforce on my bucket list. Not too far from where I grew up. Quote Link to comment

At least until CBC (who likely owns the rights) allows international distribution. Quote Link to comment

For example, CBC's news programs aren't geolocked. You might look for VPN software that has a server in Canada. Quote Link to comment
+EggsTheBest
Just in case you're interested, earlier this year members from Saskatoon were interviewed on Global TV and CBC radio :) Quote Link to comment
