+STNolan Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 It's arguably one of the busiest weekends of the year for Earthcache COs! How's everyone's inbox surviving? Quote

Deathly quiet, although the fact that it's been raining all weekend and the tides are unfavourable for my coastal EC (lows are before dawn and after dusk) might have something to do with it. Quote

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your worldview) mine are very spread out... so it's always sunny somewhere! That being said my "urban" EC is getting a LOT of attention this weekend. Quote

I haven't seen any traffic yet, but my EarthCache has been out a while, so the folks interested in these Souvenirs have probably already gotten it. Quote
+funkymunkyzone Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 Lots and lots of emails. And a load of find logs with no emails. Now the fun admin job starts where I have to wait an indefinite amount of time and then chase up those without emails. Of course it doesn't help that half the time I don't get an email it's because the finder has sent answers via the message centre which has malfunctioned and lost the message... Quote
+Team Microdot Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 I've been pretty busy this afternoon and into the evening. Everyone submitted answers - some absolutely superb, some less so, so I've had to point a few people in the direction of the information they need - on the cache page. It's been really nice though to get so many logs in a single day. Quote
+barefootjeff Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 There are nine ECs in my region (New South Wales Central Coast). Two of those had two visitors over the weekend, four had one visitor and the rest (including mine) none. So not a hive of EC activity, although the wet weather probably didn't help. Quote

So rather than a volcanic upheaval of earthcaching activity in your area, the excitement of the EC souvenir was severely eroded by the action of rain water... 1 3 Quote
+Gill & Tony Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I found one and one of mine had one visitor. Not as wet down here as further North, but still having to fit tides and rain together. Quote
+colleda Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 I found one on Saturday 13/10. I didn't know there was a souvenir available until it popped up after I logged it. Bonus. However, I don't see it among my Souvenir lis.t Quote
+hzoi Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 I got a good number of visits, even to some of our very infrequently visited earthcaches. And everyone has either sent in answers, or logged enough earthcaches that I trust I'll get them without prodding. Quote
