Feature request: User-defined maps

I really have been missing the option to have user-defined maps. In Norway the available maps give too little information outside of urban areas, and a large propotion of available caches are outside of cities. Right now (the lack of) this feature is what is stopping me to use the official app more. Any other fellow cachers feel the same?

 

PS! I do not know if this forum is moderated, but will be very happy if anybody can confirm if this is actually read by any staff  member

See Locus Map (free or pro) for a great variety of map choices. It's a caching app too. It's what I use.

 

You can even use user-defined maps if their URLs follow a standard format. But I'll bet you won't have to.

I mostly use google maps with the satellite view and that do the job except when the landscape just have changed. You don't have that in Norway?

They even have way better sat and topo maps than Google has. ;-)
