+NanCycle
I just finished a maintenance run and while logging my activity I was reminded of the many requests that archived caches be removed from a hider's list of owned caches. I don't want the caches removed, but I think it would be easy programming to make two sections "Active Caches" and "Archived Caches." I think this would also satisfy all or at least most of the people who wanted the archived caches removed. 1 Quote Link to comment
+Calypso62
Great idea! I hope this one gets adopted. Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
I can understand this, but wouldn't that then mess up cache history? Would that "easy programming" allow for a separate list for your public profile (that others may view in order) and private? The way it is now, caches are in order by hidden date. That's your caching history. Edited August 12, 2018 by cerberus1 an oops 1 Quote Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst
A couple of ways to generate the list you seek: Create a pocket query of caches that "I own", this will not include your archived. You can save that query, if you want fast access, bookmark the preview page. Also, Search, asking for caches owned by NanCycle, that are enabled https://www.geocaching.com/play/search?ot=4&owner[0]=NanCycle&e=1 Note that this will NOT include active that are disabled, and if you remove enabled selection, cache owner will see ALL of their owned caches - active and archived. Other users do NOT see archived there. Quote Link to comment
+st3phan
Hi, if you want to remove archived caches from your account, just transfer them via adoption to an second user name. Do this, before archiving them. Also remember, that Ggl-search works very well for archived caches ... /st3phan Quote Link to comment

+van der Decken
Add it to your ignore list. It won't show up in your list of owned caches anymore. I just tried this and it does work. Quote Link to comment
+NanCycle
Don't want to do that either Quote Link to comment

The Search method described won't do what I want because there are likely to be one or more disabled caches in the mix, but the PQ method will work and I think that's what I'll do -- at least try it next time. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
+Don't Call Me Sir
My wife and I maintain a bookmark list of our active owned caches. This makes tasks like this simpler. Quote Link to comment
