GEO COWBOYS
Is it within the guidelines to resize my cache from a micro to a small? It it also within the guidelines to relocate the cache in under 50 ft and change it's coordinates, but remains on the same property? There is no existing caches nearby under a mile. Yes, but you may get messages from angry geocachers saying you messed up their stats/grid. Just letting you know this may happen. Feel free to tell them you don't care about their stats, and your responsibility is to your cache. ? Quote Link to comment
Touchstone
Yes. As a courtesy to players, it's also a good idea to make adjustments in the Description, if there are specific references to the original cache, so that the information is current, along with adjustments in the size, and D/T if necessary. Coordinate adjustments are allowed up to about 528 feet or so, so 50 feet shouldn't be an issue. A log is generated that the local Reviewer will have access to, to review the new placement. Yes... as long there not any physical stage of other caches closer than 1/10 of a mile of the new location. Edited August 8, 2018 by RuideAlmeida Quote Link to comment

colleda
All of the above except that if the finding of the cache presents a significantly different caching experience, then consider archiving then submit it as a new placement. 1 Quote Link to comment
GEO COWBOYS
Sweet. I need to just move it from the mailbox post. I was thinking it might be a borderline with the federal postal laws. I will the small container ready and move it sometime tonight. Thanks Quote Link to comment

GEO COWBOYS
Thanks for the article. The cache was not inside of the mailbox but behind it on the post. I don't want the neighbors calling the police to report possible mail theft and putting Geocachers in risk of a federal investigation. It's best to just move the cache just a little bit to keep Geocachers safe. 1 Quote Link to comment
NanCycle
You say it *was* not inside the mailbox, so I'm assuming that you have moved it. If you moved it more than just a few feet, you might need to update the coordinates, certainly if the move was anything close to 40 or 50 feet. Quote Link to comment
