kmerkeley
What is the easiest (most accurate) format ? How do you specify degrees - from a standard keyboard? Quote Link to comment
+IceColdUK
Hi kmerkeley, Where are you trying to enter the coords? Generally Geocaching uses the following format for coords: N dd° mm.mmm’ W ddd° mm.mmm’ - N maybe S, and W may be E. - dd is degrees indicated by the ° symbol. The symbol can be omitted in most cases. - mm.mmm is minutes to 3 decimal places. Again the ‘ symbol can normally be omitted when entering coords in Geocaching apps and websites. You will see other formats. This website offers a useful conversion tool: https://www.geocachingtoolbox.com/index.php?lang=en&page=coordinateNotation 2 Quote Link to comment
+NanCycle
The degrees symbol is Alt 0176. At least that used to work; I can't get it now. As IceColdUK said, it cam be omitted in most cases. Quote Link to comment
