+Country_Wife Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Wayfrog kindly approved it for me. I continue to work away at my backlog. I'm doing a ton of waymarks from Calgary's Heritage Park, and learning a bunch in the process. I've started to add a "Related Waymarks" section to the end of my new waymarks (when appropriate) to connect things which may be in different categories but still tie together in various ways. For example, I'm working on a waymark for a house at HP which is connected to the Eau Claire Lumber Company, and also to the local Norwegian community. So I'll be adding some waymarks for two local churches that were historically Norwegian, and some waymarks connected to Eau Claire Lumber Co, like Prince's Island. 1
Lightnin Bug Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Good Day All. What is considered "excessive" for a wait period for approval? There are several waymarks that I submitted in mid November of 2023, so we are at about 50 days of waiting for both. They appear to satisfy all criteria, yet they languish. I do realize one category is considered an 'art' type of thing (the Ansel Adams, but my photos are actual 'nearly identical' photos of actual he took). Sorry to be a nuisance, but please consider these 'fine aged wines' of submissions for the periodic cleanup: https://www.Waymarking.com/waymarks/wm19396_Grave_markers_Moravian_Cemetery_Bethlehem_PA https://www.Waymarking.com/waymarks/wm193MC_Citizens_Fire_Co_2_Emmaus_PA_USA Thanks for any advice or assistance, Lightnin Bug
+Ariberna Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 Thank you @wayfrog for another day with your aproved (and declined :-)) 1
The Pirate King Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 Hello, Wayfrog! Could I get some assistance with the following waymark? https://www.Waymarking.com/waymarks/wm19E7G_Cafe_Corvo_Bremerton_WA Thanks.

I happen to personally know a couple, mebbe even a few, who show up to check out various things, yet neglect to review any Waymarks while passing through. I could NAME NAMES!!! Hint! Hint!!!! +Torgut Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 Does the process explained by wayfrog in the opening post of this thread still stands? I see too many categories kind of abandoned and I plan to try to manage or at least become an officer in some. At the moment I have 4 pending WM's older than one month. My average is 1,53 WM per day.
The Pirate King Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Any thoughts about this submitted waymark? https://www.Waymarking.com/waymarks/wm19XT4_Olalla_Totem_Pole_Olalla_WA I think I've covered all the bases wrt requirements to post a waymark. (Have tried contacting the author of the article in the Goldendale Sentinel referenced in the waymark so I could get a more definitive surname for the carver, and a representative of the Sentinel says she has left the paper and they do not have current contact information for her, so that's a dead end.)

+Ariberna Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 Thanks @wayfrog for aprove me 86 WM and decline 3 today. Thank you for doing the work that others “skip”.

You submitted a lot at once and I was trying so hard to keep up by doing a little bit each day. Some of them I could not access the link and I had to leave for a different officer to review. Each one I had to review required some work as I also had to make sure that the nearby ones, which were also in a different language, were not a duplicate. I was checking the map, trying to navigate the news link, translating what was needed, and trying to distinguish all the different buildings in the waymarks. I really tried to do my best and get through several each day. I tried to do a really good job reviewing these waymarks in another country and language. It was a lot to do! But I learned a lot and I enjoyed the articles. 1 1

But I learned a lot and I enjoyed the articles. And I thank you, Max, If you are one of the two reviewers who are to blame I keep sending to that category :-) *spoiler: the other blame is saopaolo :-))) The problem was not your category, but others that I had pending since mid and early April with active reviewers (who are allowed to evaluate my WM) as the example of wikipedia or official tourism. With this last one, the addiction of new reviewers to some categories like you, Erik, Bob, is working quite well, that together with some classics (that don't have hundreds of categories) in some other categories are still saving the game. The problem is when you see that they approve marks (and for no reason, they jump your marks). I also regret that there are reviewers who have very few categories and it would be nice if they had more (but that's the responsibility of each one) as for example those of remnants and military installations (or the lovely Keith and outspoken in other categories) Don't worry Max, if I'm still here it's because there are still many more good and nice reviewers than the ones that cause problems. If I have to wait three months for @wayfrog to approve 100 WM, that's OK, we don't charge for it. Have a nice day Edited June 6, 2024 by Ariberna

How can you be so arrogant and disrespectful? You published, in my categories only, more than 200 waymarks during 24 hours 72 hours ago, which is already disrespectful. And you dare to say that the officers knowingly avoided reviewing them. You can't even imagine that they didn't have time to do so. Wayfrog sacrificed himself to validate your waymarks and avoid the officers' displeasure, you should apologize to him instead. If you behaved better with the officers, your waymarks would be reviewed more quickly. 2 1 1

Don't worry, if the WM circulates better since you can't review or vote my marks. Something that makes me happy and flows better. With @wayfrog I already talked privately and thanked him for many things and complains. As up to now I have informed him of all the steps taken. So I haven't to apologize with him because... he know all. That I send to review 100 or 200 in “your categories” as you call it in your "possesion" categories, does not mean that, as you say, there may be someone who does not want to review them. But even if I sent 200 in one day, there are some in “your categories” (around 100) pending for half a month, nit faince 72h. I thought you were not authorized to contact me. I don't even reply to you on forums, so you didn't have to either. I repeat, as long as you continue to not value my marks, everything will be fine. And here there is no disrespect in publishing the amount you want at the time you want. The disrespect is something else. It is disrespectful to write to you because you approve a brand the same as the one I send few days later because you cannot approve mine and you reply “I am not authorized to communicate with you”, or to tell a waymarker that you decline a brand of his because I complain (and not because in official local tourism guidelines you no longer feel like accepting events) as you did In local tourism you declined mine Events as Semana Santa or similars and aprove a Living Bethlehem, for example. That is really disrespectful and creates a bad atmosphere. It's not about speed, it's about skipping marks. If I send 200 in one day I don't wait that will be approved in hours. I think that we don't we charge money for it. But Others that there are for a month... If I want to work better on some brands and then I launch them in a row and I don't want to send 40 in one day, I have the right to do so. Only the arrogant reviewer ones take themselves for granted. Thank fortunetly, there are still kind and good reviewers. As they say in Spain “saltó la liebre”. And don't even answer me in forums, I won't answer you. May everything continue as it has been, and you still don't touch my WM. Regards (I hope they close the forum thread for your insults) Edited June 6, 2024 by Ariberna tipos and other
wayfrog Posted June 10, 2024 Author Posted June 10, 2024 The initial post in this thread explains the process very well. No need to bring these waymarks to the forum, just contact wayfrog. Thanks.
