+Neta.83
Is adding someone by username the only way to add friends? Or is it possible to search a person by email address (or send invitation)? Quote Link to comment

You could tell them your user name and let them initiate the process. Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
There's two user contact links on all (but Reviewers) public profiles, messages and email. Many don't show their email on their profile, nor have their username as part of their email address, so not sure how you'd search them out anyway. A person who you mail by username may decide to accept your request. They have to accept to be added to your list. A brief explanation is here. Some people (I'm one) have it marked in their account settings that they don't accept "friends" (block friends requests from other geocachers). Quote Link to comment
