+4heberts
How can I remove an undesirable link from my archived caches? Anyone viewing those caches could still use the link. 2 Quote Link to comment
+Max and 99
Oh wow, I didn't realize the edit function is gone when the cache is archived! I have been able to do other things with an archived cache, but apparently editing is no longer an option! Quote Link to comment
+*GeoPunx*
I do not currently need this ability, but I'm definitely interested in knowing the answer. Quote Link to comment
+*GeoPunx*
Why, oh why, did I have to look!? I would get in touch with GS about this. They would probably be willing to remove this specific one for you...or at least I would hope so! Quote Link to comment
+TriciaG
So that fewer people are curious and go look: the link to the Louisiana Geocachers Association (or something like that) in a banner now leads to a porn site. Yeah, contact Groundspeak with the GC code and the problem. 1 Quote Link to comment

Editing archived caches seems like an odd thing to worry about for exactly this reason. Quote Link to comment

LOL Please put the edit function back, Groundspeak. 2 Quote Link to comment
+Calypso62
I agree! Please GS, return the edit function on archived caches. There have been times I've wanted to use a previously archived description as the basis for a new hide. It would be great to have access to the description rather than re-inventing the whole wheel. 2 Quote Link to comment
+StefandD
I disagree. Archived caches are visible for viewing purposes and should not be edited once archived. @4heberts: contact Groundspeak and ask if they are willing to remove the link. If you explain it links to a porn site they probably are willing to grand your request. 8 hours ago, Calypso62 said: I agree! Please GS, return the edit function on archived caches. If you use the "view source" function in most browsers, you can copy/paste the listing including HTML tags. 1 Quote Link to comment
+Max and 99
I kinda think that if people can still log my archived cache (last I check you could still do that, but maybe it's changed), I should still be able to edit the page. Has that changed? 2 Quote Link to comment
+4heberts
Follow up: Geocaching HQ Support was very helpful, removed the links from our archived pages, and is trying to figure out a way to remove that link from all accounts. 1 Quote Link to comment

Has that changed? Hey ! How dare you making sense... Our archived, the Admin tools aren't even there anymore. ETA... Possible I guess that the site figures as a responsible cache owner (they're not locked...) you're still keeping track of kids now grown, back-dating their own account from the family's, while removing the obvious faker time-to-time.
