+skyekeyes Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 Hi. A friend of mine is trying to find something called a "cache buddy." She picked up several from a vendor at the Yuma mega this year for something like $1 apiece. They are a dog tag type item but don't have tracking numbers, simply a generic message like "I'm a travel bug, don't keep me, log me at geocaching.com," et cetera. She attached them to her actual travel bugs. I searched online for "Cache Buddy," but all the results took me to actual trackable travel bugs. Anyone have any experience with these, know where she can find them? Thanks for any guidance. Quote

LostNCorn Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 I found a Cache Buddy "Helium" but can't log it in geocaching.com. It doesn't recognize the number and tries to activate it as a new travel bug. Can't do that either because there is no activation code. 1 Quote

LostNCorn Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 No I hadn't. Now I have. Had to go to a 3rd party site to do it. Thanks! Quote
