Polling questions on a cache page?

Has anyone ever added a poll question to a cache page.  I would like to be able to ask people if they will be participating in activity B on the day after the Event.  Because of stacking rules, we can no longer have a second event.

That sounds like an optional request, so it shouldn't violate the ALR rules.

Depending on how it's worded, it might be seen as promoting an agenda.   I mention this because in your opening post, you could have just asked the question if it's okay to have an optional poll on a cache page.

But you didn't, you couched your question in terms that imply that you'd like to prove or disprove some hypotheses that relates to events.

It's quite common in my area for Host(ess) to ask questions that relate to the Event in the Description, and for Attendees to respond in their Will Attend log.  Things like how many in a group, side dishes people will bring and things of that nature.  Not a requirement for attending, but they make life easier in regards to planning.

Good luck. Hope it works out for you. It seems that the number of people that take pride in not reading the cache page at all might skew the outcome of the poll.
