+Max and 99
It sure would be nice when receiving a notification that my waymark was edited to know exactly what was changed. The original text and suggested text in the email are identical and the reviewer's notes are empty. I find this very frustrating! Quote Link to comment
+elyob
The edit might be for something very small like correcting the state/province in the Location or correcting the URL in a variable. Quote Link to comment
+T0SHEA
Example: Please review the suggested waymark edits below and determine whether they are acceptable. Old Region: TennesseeOld Country: United States New Region: TexasNew Country: United States Provided Reason: Wrong state in drop down menu. Accept Decline Quote Link to comment
+Max and 99
That doesn't help the waymark owner. Quote Link to comment
+elyob
As a waymark owner, you would like to receive the same edit notifications that go to the category officers, is that correct? Quote Link to comment

Not necessarily. But I would like to know what was changed. Quote Link to comment
+fi67
The email notification does not contain any details. And in most cases, the email after an approval or denial of an edit request is not even sent. Usually you will not even notice when one of your waymarks is edited. This maybe has already happened many times. However, there is no way to find out what it was. The details are not recorded; at least not in a place an officer has access to. As an officer I can tell you that these change requests usually deal with offset coordinates, typos in the title, wrong states and the such. I have not seen a substantial change in the description yet. Edited April 21, 2018 by fi67 Typo. Quote Link to comment

In fact, I plan to do this if I ever receive an edit suggestion in the one category I'm an officer. 2. I suspect mine didn't have anything to do with coords or wrong state or typos. +elyob
I am grateful that the volunteer officers make those edits. Why add to their burden? In the busy categories, it would definitely be a burden. Quote Link to comment
+Max and 99
I don't think that wanting to know what changes were made to my waymark is unreasonable. Quote Link to comment
