+Forest-Ghost
I tried uploading a new cartridge this evening and each time I press the upload button the page refreshes and nothing happens. The same happens if I try and upload a new version of a cartridge. Is anyone else having this issue? Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
I see and was able to reproduce this issue both on uploading a new cartridge and a new version to an existing cartridge. I have sent an email to one of the Groundspeak email addresses. I have also included steps to reproduce in case the person handling the support issue isn't familiar with the site. If I receive a reply, I will mention that here. Even if not, I'll check throughout the day to see if the issue is resolved. 1 Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
Okay. I've heard from Groundspeak. According to Groundspeak, uploads to Wherigo.com were disabled on April 12th due to some maintenance Groundspeak was doing. The reviewers were notified. As far as I can tell, the moderators weren't notified, and I certainly wasn't. After posting this to notify the community, I think I'll mention it to the moderators. I was not given an ETA for resolution in this matter. If I'm notified of such a matter, I'll pass it on. 1 Quote Link to comment
+Forest-Ghost
Thank you for looking into this and also for emailing Groundspeak. I will be interested to see if they are doing any updates to Wherigo.com. Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
It's not updates to Wherigo.com in specific. They're updating their back end, and Wherigo.com uses part of it. Quote Link to comment

+SoaringEagle
As posted in the other thread, I am experiencing the same issue. I have worked on a series that I would like to see published by May, 1st. Any updates on when it will be available again? Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
No updates have been communicated to me as of this time. Quote Link to comment
Frau Potter
The engineers are actively working on it. They have completed part of the work, but still have some remaining maintenance to do. We apologize for the delay. We know that uploading Wherigo cartridges is important to the community. We will bring it back as soon as possible. But it’s still a few days out. 2 Quote Link to comment

In the case of the current outage, it doesn't sound like anyone outside of HQ was notified, even the Wherigo forum mod. It also seems odd that no notice has been posted anywhere on the Wherigo site, even after it became clear that members were being affected and weren't aware of the planned outage. If folks had known that an outage was planned, they might have been able to get their cartridges uploaded before that feature was taken offline, especially if the expected duration of the outage was unknown. 5 Quote Link to comment

+kikonan
Well, it seems the cartridge download feature has been touched, too. A cacher has written to me he had problem downloading the game. I have tried another one and received the same Upload error. Edited April 25, 2018 by kikonan Quote Link to comment
+SoaringEagle
With the latest fixes, I was able to upload and download! It looks like it is resolved. Thank you HQ engineers! 1 Quote Link to comment
+Team Museamy
I'm still not able to upload my cartridge (created with Urwigo) and get an error: "You are attempting to upload an invalid GWZ file." Is there a work around? Quote Link to comment
