+m0bean
When I notice a challenge cache that I am qualified for, I like to enter the posted coords in the corrected coords field. On the map on the website, doing this shows these caches with the solved puzzle icon (light blue puzzle piece). This is great, because visually it looks just like any solved puzzle, and I treat the solved puzzles and the challenges I've qualified for in much the same way--as unknown caches that are ready to be found. It seems like the app does not function in the same way. It doesn't show the solved puzzle icon (light blue puzzle piece) when the adjusted cords and the posted cords are the same. It's a small thing, and maybe I am the only one bothered by it, but I thought I would point it out. Perhaps there is an even better way to accomplish what I am trying to do. +noncentric
I just checked this, as I've also done the same thing in the past -- set corrected coords with same values as posted coords, so the icon shows as "solved" puzzle icon on the maps. When I set a mystery cache's corrected coords to the same value as the posted coords, then the icon continues to appear as a question mark on my iPhone. But the icon appears as a puzzle piece on both my Android and the website. It seems this odd behavior is iOS-specific. Quote Link to comment
+IceColdUK
Bump. This really is a very frustrating bug. If the corrected coordinates for a cache are the same as its listed coordinates, both the website and the Android App show the light blue puzzle piece on the map (as you would expect), whereas the iPhone App continues to show the dark blue Mystery '?'. Any idea when this inconsistency will be fixed? Thanks. Quote Link to comment

Can you at least confirm that the developers are aware of this inconsistency? (And that they may fix it one day?) Thanks. Quote Link to comment

We've been assured that all posts in these bug/feature sub-forums are read by HQ, but we rarely get any response. That's just the way they've chosen to do things. Quote Link to comment
+IceColdUK
Two years since this was reported, and the iOS app still behaves differently to both the website and the Android app. Still frustrating... Quote Link to comment
+IceColdUK
Checked on this issue again as we approach the three year mark... I’m not certain but it seems as though something has changed: - Initially the Mystery cache (where corrected coords = published coords) still appears with the standard Mystery icon. - Select it, and the ‘focussed’ icon shows the puzzle piece. - Take away the focus and the puzzle piece remains. - Move away from the area (to change the search) and return, to see the standard Mystery icon again. Still frustrating... Quote Link to comment

First, off topic, but the reason I'm commenting at all: did you noticed how the new forum software presents your posts? I think it's hilarious, and I had to stop and think about whether there was some way you could make that happen yourself: [Original conversation] Forum software: "1 year later..." You: "Two years since this was reported..." Forum software: "10 months later..." You: "Still frustrating..." It's like what they do in movies to show comically how nothing's happening for a long period of time. Even with the ellipsis at the end! Hee-hee! As to your observation, I don't use an iPhone, but what you describe -- the map showing the normal, unchanged icon which morphs into the solved icon when it's selected -- is something I've seen on the website's map, so it may, in fact, mean the app is getting closer to what everyone else sees, including similar bugs. What I've seen wasn't related to unmoved challenge caches, but it did involve a cache I just recently set the coordinates for, so perhaps that's a clue on both bugs. With the coordinates actually different, the problem I'm seeing can be a little more confusing because in addition to the icon changing, it sometimes moves, too! Quote Link to comment
